The Fall 2015 OLCA Meeting & Conference will be held on Wednesday, September 30th and Thursday, October 1st at Lake Lorelei. Mark your calendars!

Topics of discussion for the conference include:

  • Legal: Embezzlement, Mediation and Legal Fees
  • Enforcement: Opening the Floodgates of Remedying Rule & Covenant Violations
  • Gate & Access Controls Roundtable
  • Communicating with Members & the Media Roundtable
  • How the Ohio Revised Code Boating Section applies to Private Lakes

In addition to the usual networking, social hour, dinner, and boat ride on Wednesday, you may also join us for a visit to nearby Chatfield College , with an interesting history & architecture.

2014 Fall OLCA Meeting

Apple Valley to Host the 2014 Fall Meeting & Conference on Wednesday, September 24th and Thursday, September 25th.

The Agenda currently includes:

  • An expanded “Manager’s Roundtable”…Wednesday, 11:00 am to 1:15 pm.
  • About Apple Valley
  • A legal session by Rick & John on “Ammending & Updating Code of Regulations/By Laws”
  • A session of “Almost Free Legal Advice”
  • A full group session on Thursday morning on “When Disasters Happen & They Will”. The county EMA Director will share on preparing for and handling emergencies, including dealing with law enforcement and the press.
  • Breakout sessions on Thursday afternoon will include a session on “Collection Options” with Kate Bushey from our associate member Kaman & Cusimano, “Board Orientation”, “HR Issues”, & “Office Accounting & Technology”.
  • The meeting will conclude with our “Manager’s Forum”.
